How to Decide

Use four inputs in this order: sustained daily metres, available power supply, floor area and scale-up horizon. If you push less than 500 metres per day, work from single-phase power and need mixed-product flexibility, the compact workshop class is the honest answer — a larger drum will sit idle most of the week and depreciate faster than it earns. If you already clear 2000 metres per day, run multi-shift and have three-phase distribution in place, the industrial factory class is the only configuration that will keep up without overheating drives, burning out heaters or bottlenecking upstream printers. Between those two numbers sits the mid-capacity MM class. Choose MM when today's volume is in the 500–2000 metre band but trending up, when you want industrial-grade quality — PLC control, oil heating, heavier mechanics — inside a mid-sized footprint, or when you need a bridge machine while the factory line is being commissioned. The wrong class is expensive in both directions: an undersized workshop unit throttles a factory floor, while an oversized factory line drains power and floor space that a workshop does not have. Match the machine to the shift pattern you actually run, not the one you aspire to run in five years.
