Mid-Capacity Sublimation Calender

The MM Series is a sublimation calender built for mid-volume production. A wider drum diameter than the compact class and PLC touchscreen control deliver faster, more consistent prints. The same machine handles both piece and roll fabric — covering a broad product range from sportswear, scarves and t-shirts to cushion covers, banners and flags. Workshops that started production on MC and have grown choose MM as the natural step before moving to industrial-scale machines. Two working-width options let you match the machine to your floor space and product mix.

Applications and Industries

The MM Series handles both piece and roll-to-roll polyester sublimation printing on a single machine. It suits mid-scale production volumes and product types such as: • Sportswear: jerseys (football, basketball, volleyball), fitness leggings, performance t-shirts, athletic tops • Fashion: scarves, stoles, bandanas, pareos, abaya panels • Home textile: cushion faces, curtain fabric, duvet covers, tablecloths • Promotional: corporate flags, pennants, trade-show tote bags, branded scarves • Advertising and trade show: banners, exhibition-stand fabric, backlit tension fabric Two working-width options (170W and 190W). 190W is preferred for large-format products (wide scarves, curtain fabric, banners), 170W for classic jersey / t-shirt production. For industrial volumes requiring thousands of metres per day, the MB Series is a better match.

Mid-Capacity Production Specifications

The MM Series sits between the compact MC and the industrial MB. Its Ø320 mm oil-heated drum is the deliberate mid-step in the Mearic sublimation line — larger contact arc than the MC's 200 mm drum for faster dwell on medium-volume runs, but short of the 400 mm industrial drum that defines MB. For workshops scaling past entry-level throughput, Ø320 mm is the point where PLC control and pneumatic felt handling start to pay back. Two working widths cover most mid-tier plans. MM-170W-320D runs at 1700 mm for team sportswear, small bedding and short-run soft-signage. MM-190W-320D runs at 1900 mm — the width used for standard jersey rolls and wide promotional textile. Both share the same drum, the same PLC, and the same operator interface. Power scales with width. MM-170W-320D draws 20 kW total (18.5 kW resistance, 31 A), MM-190W-320D draws 25 kW total (23.5 kW resistance, 38 A). Both run 3PH + N + PE at the standard industrial supply, feed from a 5 × 6 mm² main cable, and accept a UPS input for local grid dips. Speed is governed by an AC inverter drive, with weekly scheduling, auto-cooling and auto-shutoff handled from the touch screen. The drum heats to 230 °C on the oil circuit. Felt tension is pneumatic; felt centring runs from limit-switch pneumatic auto-correction. The MM-170W-320D ships with a 2220 × 1740 × 8 mm felt sized for the 1700 mm drum. Installation footprint is planned before shipment. MM-170W-320D occupies 2676 × 2680 × 1400 mm installed (net 1300 kg, packed 2900 × 1700 × 1850 mm). MM-190W-320D occupies 2880 × 3000 × 1500 mm installed (net 1450 kg, packed 3100 × 1700 × 1850 mm). Both models are sized to enter a standard workshop bay on a single flatbed.

Integrated Safety Systems

The electrical and mechanical design of the MM Series includes 13 independent layers of protection. Operator safety • 4 emergency stop buttons • Audible alarm and visual indicator (yellow lamp) Electrical protection • Phase protection — cuts on voltage fluctuation • Fuse protection — isolates on circuit fault • Earth-leakage protection — cuts on residual current • Contactor protection system Thermal protection • Automatic overheat cut-off at 240 °C • Heating-circuit protection Drum safety • Drum pressure-relief system — automatic release on abnormal pressure inside the drum Pneumatic system safety • Air-loss protection — when the compressor fails or air supply stops, the machine auto-detects the lack of pneumatic pressure, drops speed to minimum, and runs the felt forward and backward in short intervals to prevent it from drifting sideways. The felt stays safe until air returns. PLC and sensor reliability • PLC safety monitoring — tracks electrical and mechanical faults centrally • Sensor-fault detection — backup circuit engages if main sensor fails • Sensor-cable protection — safe lockout on mechanical disconnection For warranty, installation and service details, contact our team.

Design Decisions Behind the MM Series

PLC touchscreen control. Parameter profiles for different fabric types and products are stored in machine memory — one-touch load, no more setup-time waste. Operator training is shorter and recurring jobs have less error. Weekly scheduling + automatic cooldown — time saved. If work starts at 08:00, set the machine to warm up at 07:00 the night before — it is ready at your chosen temperature and speed by 08:00. At end of shift, one touch puts the machine into automatic cooldown; it shuts down safely once under 90 °C. Automatic resume after power loss. Short interruptions preserve PLC settings; when power returns, the machine picks up where it left off — no separate UPS required. For long outages, a UPS input port is standard for those who want to connect an external UPS. 220V voltage option. In addition to the standard configuration, the machine can be delivered in a 220V build for countries with 220V infrastructure. Specified at order. Piece and roll-to-roll — two workflows, one machine. Jerseys in the morning, fabric rolls in the afternoon. No second machine required to move between product types. Two working-width options. Choose 170W or 190W based on workshop floor and product mix. 190W is the better fit for large-format work (wide scarves, curtain fabric, banners). Internationally readable model code. The MM-170W-320D / MM-190W-320D format directly states working width and drum diameter — a foreign buyer grasps it instantly in the technical catalogue.
