Roll-to-Roll · Continuous Flow

Roll-to-Roll Sublimation Calender

The MR Series is an industrial sublimation calender family built exclusively for roll-to-roll production at export volume. Its core difference from MB is a larger wrap angle — fabric travels farther around the drum, which means higher print speed at the same quality and deeper heat transfer. You load the roll, start the program, and the operator has nothing to do until the roll finishes. One operator can manage several MR machines in parallel; at export scale, labour cost per meter drops. For home textile, curtain fabric, quilt panels, wide-format banners, automotive interior trim and carpet production, MR sits downstream of the digital printer as a continuous-flow fixation machine. Three drum diameters (Ø400, Ø600, Ø1000 mm) and wide working-width options let you pick the configuration your export volume requires.

Applications and Industries

The MR Series runs roll-fabric only. It suits facilities doing continuous high-volume production: • Home textile: curtain fabric (blackout, sheer, voile), duvet cover fabric, quilt panels, bed protectors, towels, decorative wall fabric • Curtain manufacturers: sun-shade curtains, blackout curtains, hotel and shopping-mall decorative curtains, retail window curtains • Carpet and floor coverings: digitally printed carpet rolls, polyester runners, tile-carpet roll preparation, automotive mats • Advertising and trade show: exhibition-stand fabric (backlit, dim-out, frontlit), outdoor banners, building-facade covers, concert backdrops • Automotive interior: seat fabric, headliner fabric, door-panel fabric, public-transport seat fabric • Technical and architectural textile: indoor acoustic fabric, stretch-ceiling fabric, museum display-panel fabric, hospital partition curtains • Contract production: roll-fabric production line for digital print agencies and print-on-demand platforms For workshops that need piece-fabric production too, the MB Series is a better match — MR works with roll fabric only.

Continuous-Flow Capacity Across 15 Roll-Only Configurations

Drum diameter governs contact arc and dwell — and because the MR chassis carries no piece station, every second of dwell converts to metres of roll throughput instead of indexing idle time. The Ø400 mm drum gives shorter contact, suited to lighter home-textile runs and soft-signage banners where line speed matters more than deep saturation. The Ø600 mm drum is the continuous-flow workhorse: longer dwell, firmer pressure and a wider contact arc that holds uniform colour across full-width curtain, flag and fashion-fabric work. The Ø1000 mm drum is the 24-hour export drum — maximum dwell, deep polyester penetration and the highest sustained metres-per-hour in the range. Working widths span 1900, 2200, 2600, 3300 and 4400 mm — the same 15-SKU matrix as MB, only without the piece workflow. Production speed runs 0.6–10 m/min on the 1900–3300 mm widths and 0.6–12 m/min at 4400 mm, set through the AC inverter drive and stored in the PLC recipe memory. Total power scales from 33 kW at MR-190W-400D, through 55–56 kW in the mid-range, up to 81 kW at MR-330W-600D and MR-330W-1000D. Because there is no bottom belt and no conveyor table, all electrical headroom goes to the drum, the oil system and the felt drive — the MR-260W-1000D runs 71 kW on a 4 × 25 + 16 mm² feed because drum mass, not belt motors, sets the load. Felt sizes scale with drum diameter — MR-190W-400D ships a 3650 × 1940 × 8 mm felt, MR-190W-600D a 4750 × 1940 × 8 mm felt, MR-330W-600D a 5030 × 3340 × 8 mm felt. The roll-only chassis is shorter and narrower than a piece + roll machine: MR-190W-600D installs in a 3050 × 2056 × 1540 mm footprint at 2850 kg net, freeing floor space and CAPEX for the next production line.

Integrated Safety Systems

The industrial design of the MR Series includes 15 independent layers of protection. In addition to all MB layers, it adds two continuous-roll-specific safeguards. Operator safety • 4 emergency stop buttons + pull-rope emergency stop — strategically placed around the large machine • Audible alarm and visual indicator (yellow lamp) Electrical protection • Phase protection — cuts on voltage fluctuation • Fuse protection — isolates on circuit fault • Earth-leakage protection — cuts on residual current • Contactor protection system Thermal protection • Automatic overheat cut-off at 240 °C • Heating-circuit protection Drum safety • Drum pressure-relief system — automatic release on abnormal pressure inside the drum Pneumatic system safety • Air-loss protection — when the compressor fails or air supply stops, the machine auto-detects the lack of pneumatic pressure, drops speed to minimum, and runs the felt forward and backward in short intervals to prevent it from drifting sideways. The felt stays safe until air returns. Roll-fabric operation safety • Fabric-break detection — during continuous roll printing, the machine stops instantly on fabric tear or break. Print pile-up and machine damage are prevented. • Edge-control sensor — automatic correction when the fabric drifts sideways; rewind quality stays intact. PLC and sensor reliability • PLC safety monitoring — tracks electrical and mechanical faults centrally • Sensor-fault detection — backup circuit engages if main sensor fails • Sensor-cable protection — safe lockout on mechanical disconnection For warranty, installation and service details, contact our team.

Design Decisions Behind the MR Series

Wider drum wrap angle — deeper and faster transfer. In the MR, fabric travels farther around the drum than in the MB. More fabric-to-drum contact means higher print speed at the same quality, or deeper and more vibrant colour transfer at the same speed. You do not have to choose between speed and quality — the extra dwell time removes the trade-off. Unattended operation. Load the roll, start the program, and no one needs to stand by the machine until the roll finishes. A single operator can manage several MR machines in parallel — labour cost drops meaningfully on large-series production. Built for export and wholesale volume. Hundreds of metres of roll fabric run without interruption and with consistent quality through the day; fit for factories producing for foreign markets. Roll-specific fabric-flow hardware. Fabric opener (wrinkle removal before print), fabric cooler (dimensional stability after print) and automatic rewind — the add-ons that guarantee continuous-roll quality. Edge control and automatic centring. During continuous production, any sideways drift is auto-corrected. Rewind quality stays consistent shift after shift. Three drum diameters, one series. Ø400, Ø600 and Ø1000 mm let you match export volume to the right model. PLC touchscreen control + industrial recipe memory. Parameter profiles for different fabric types are stored in machine memory; the recipe stays consistent across operator changes. Weekly scheduling + automatic cooldown — time saved. If work starts at 08:00, set the machine to warm up at 07:00 — it is ready by 08:00. At end of shift, one touch puts the machine into automatic cooldown; it shuts down safely once under 90 °C. Automatic resume after power loss. Short interruptions preserve PLC settings; when power returns, the machine picks up where it left off — no separate UPS required. For long outages, a UPS input port is standard for those who want to connect an external UPS. 220V voltage option. In addition to the standard configuration, the machine can be delivered in a 220V build for countries with 220V infrastructure. Specified at order. Built for 24-hour shift production. Industrial PLC, durable pneumatic components and extended oil system are ready for continuous three-shift operation. Internationally readable model code. The MR-190W-400D / MR-330W-600D / MR-220W-1000D format directly states working width and drum diameter — a foreign buyer grasps it instantly in the technical catalogue.
