Home textile production with Mearic machinery
Curtains, bedding, pillow faces, decorative wall panels and upholstery fabrics — produced on Mearic sublimation, embossing and lamination lines.
Sublimation demands of the home textile industry
In home textile manufacturing, the sublimation calender press is the foundation for printing curtains, duvet covers, pillow faces, tablecloths, decorative wall panels and upholstery fabrics. Polyester decorative fabrics, polyester-cotton blends and 100% polyester knitted or woven surfaces are suitable substrates; designs transferred from digital printing paper are permanently fused into the fabric under cylinder temperature and pressure. A home textile producer plans daily throughput of 800 to 2,500 metres. For curtains and bedding, widths of 1900 to 3300 mm are common — single-panel production with no design interruption. For decorative wall panels and upholstery, fabric embossing is used alongside sublimation to add texture and relief effects. The home textile sector also relies on film lamination to extend the mechanical life of the textile: on tablecloths and upholstery, TPU/PU lamination adds water repellency and durability. The main sublimation line, a fabric embossing station and a lamination machine form a three-part production backbone. Colour consistency, pattern repeat accuracy and surface gloss/matte control are the quality metrics of a home textile producer. Thermal oil heating and large cylinder diameter preserve thermal stability across long design panels. Mearic delivers this three-part workflow through the MB, ME and MR series — consolidating maintenance, spare parts and service under a single supplier.
