Automotive textile — interior upholstery, interior panel fabrics, door inner surface textiles, seat upholstery, museum display panels and technical textile applications — carries different fabric types and printing requirements than standard textile production. Note: this segment does not cover vehicle wrapping or vehicle modification; the focus is interior textile and technical fabric printing within the automotive supplier chain. Technical polyester, polyester-polyamide blends, glass-fibre reinforced textiles and specialty coated polyester surfaces are all used in the automotive supply chain. A producer plans daily throughput of 500 to 1,500 metres of technical printed fabric. Colour consistency, uniform pressure distribution across the surface and long-term pigment stability are critical quality parameters — automotive OEM and Tier 1-2 acceptance testing is demanding. In this segment, sublimation printing alone is not sufficient. Fabric embossing adds texture, relief and three-dimensional surface effects for the premium interior panel segment. Film lamination increases mechanical durability, oil resistance, moisture resistance and flame retardancy — interior automotive textile is legally required to carry flame retardant coating. This three-part workflow — sublimation + embossing + lamination — is the standard approach in the automotive supply chain. Museum and corporate display panel production requires long-life, low-reflectance and colour-stable fabric printing.
